1. The quality of workmanship.

2. everyones skin pigmentation is different...some people hold color better than others.

yes that is true depending on where you get it and what color you use. Some colors don't last as long, the one on my toe faded fast. But I think they all tend to fade after time anyways but yes I would say color ones don't last as long.
