Every society is corrupt. You can go back to the Babylonians, Hittites and Egyptians and find corruption. I have been fleeced by cops in Russia on more than one occasion. In fact, a civil servant in Denmark tried to coerce a bribe from me. I have also faced corruption in China, Hungary, Turkey, France, Mexico and Argentina.

Yes, the Americans did re-elect Bush. Maybe you disagree with him, but Al Gore was so horrible that he couldn't even get the votes of his home state, nor the votes of Arkansas, the home state of the President he served. John Kerry was an even worse choice.

America is the LEAST corrupt society on earth. If you have to ask this question you have clearly never been here and have most assuredly been brain washed by the BBC.

But don't really care what you think one way or the other. Doesn't matter to Americans. LOL, We probably own your country anyway!

If having a corrupt government, Tax system, monetary system, voting system and a propagandized media makes for a corrupt society, then yes, America is a corrupt society.

Bush's Presidency is illegitimate. He was NEVER elected. In 2000, he was appointed by the Supreme Court and in 2004, he simply stole the election.

Whereever you have money and greed you have corruption: the two go hand in hand. So the answer is: America is the most corrupt country on the planet and the worst to ever exist in human history.

Every nation has some degree of corruption in the government. (Generally it is the government that is referred to as corrupt, not the society itself.) If someone has power, then there is corruption. Power corrupts. So, essentially, yes, the U.S. has corruption going on in the government. But is it considerably worse than other countries? Hardly. The president doesn't have absolute power. Look at North Korea, for example. Kim Jong Il is as corrupt as they come.

everywhere in the world is corrupt. America is not alone (I am uk so am not trying to stick up for my nation here!!)

Corruption exists because greed exists and the world is not perfect, people learn and grow at different rates- or not at all. Unfortunalty this results in cheating and lying and corruption. It always has existed and always will exist. Globally.

Of course it is. Look at how we murder unborn children, allow gay marriage, and put border patrol guards in jail for running illegal aliens (who are also drug smugglers) back to Mexico. But only fools blame Bush, when clearly it is a liberal issue. I did vote for Bush both times. Thank God the alternative flip flop didn't get elected. We'd really have a mess on our hands.

He got 51% of the popular vote.
Not exactly a landslide.

So how is the election of a crappy president an indication of a corrupt society?

note: I did not vote for George II in either election.
I didn't vote for his old man either.
I didn't vote for REAGAN

No more corrupt than anyone else in the world. In fact, likely more on the "up & up" than most countries in the world.

All societies have corrupt elements. This individual would prove that we have it in the USA also:

Numerous uncovered documents suggest that Ted Kennedy was a "collaborationist" with the Soviets during our Cold War.
