I'm not being racist or anything but I've noticed that A LOT of black people can really sing! I wonder how they do that.

First, I would never think you're a racist by looking at that question! Well, if you listen to a lot of black singers, they all....well most of them anyway.....have this certain richness and quality that accounts for their beautiful voices. It's a very distinct thing that you hear after going through 2 or 3 recordings of blacks singing, but i don't know the name for it.

Oh and by the way, you can hear this better in recordings of blacks singing classical music, because in pop music, rap or R/B they generally use something called chest voice that gives a slightly harder edge to their voice and hides their natural richness. To all reading this, I didn't mean this in an offensive way, sorry if it seems like that.

It's called soul...they are very expressive. You're not racist. A lot of black people can sing better than others...just look at American Idol this year and years past.

Obviously you know little about music. Christina Aguilera does NOT have a horrible voice. In fact her phrasing is on the same level as Billy Holiday and Mama Cass. __________ No, you know what you like, not what's good. Big difference.

There are a lot of people that can sing--black and otherwise. Don't think your question was racist, but it is a bit ignorant. Singing is a gift...you either have it or you don't.

God's gift. Black people are blessed in all walks of life.

Deuteronomy 7:6
6: For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

Deuteronomy 14:2
2:for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

Psalms 82:6
6: I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

It's genetic, I suppose. Stronger voices that are easier to program into song.
