You find a wallet containing 20000 dollars. The purse also has a visiting card wherein the name of the owner of purse has been given. You go to his home and hand him over the purse. The person is very pleased and takes a note out of 1000 dollars from the wallet and asks you to accept it for your honesty.

What would you do in this situation?

Would you accept that note?

Would you not accept the note and say that was your duty.

Would you feel offended by his act of offering you the money because if you were money minded, you would not had returned the money?

What would be your reaction?

I wouldn't take the money, if they wanted to give it away and were persistent I would give it to a needy organization in that person's name.
I was a cop for too long to take money for doing the right thing... and I know it sounds like a stereotype answer, but it is the truth.

I would accept the money, say thank you very much & be on my merry way with the satisfaction of having done a good deed and having a few extra $$ in my wallet that I wasn't anticipating.

i'd take it,,most people generally do good deeds not expecting anything in return, and its mostly those good (nice) people who get bit in the @$$,,, id take the money and say thanks,,had someone else of found the purse they might not have got anything back, they were just grateful you gave it to them and wanted to give u a lil something in return

I seriously doubt that the money would have left my little hands....if by some chance I did return it I would accept the reward..

Hey, I would feel like a dummy. There was obviously some top secret government spy stuff in that purse. I could have held it for ransom for MUCH MUCH MORE!

I'm not sure. It depends on the person I guess. People like rewarding people. Sometimes it's rude to not accept.
