I was wondering where the trial or sentencing stood for this "crime" that he and his accomplaces have done.

as far as I know he's still at home waiting to be sent over for trial- (you know about the ankle brace/ night curfew thing right?) Yes, it's so sad, makes me angry that our politicians wont do something about this. I will never step foot in mexico again, we should all boycott Mexico.

As of February 16th the Mexican courts ruled he should be extradited and stand trial for illegally capturing Andrew Luster (according to Mexico law). Dog his son Leland and Tim Chapman are all out on bail since September and their lawyers will probably challenge this latest ruling.
I read somewhere that even if they surrender in Mexico and are found guilty, this "crime" would be punishable by a fine... But who wants to gamble with that?

A while back they got their ankle bracelets removed and were taken off house arrest. They were just denied on the 16th their request to drop the charges, and are going to appeal. But if their request is denied again, they will be sent back to Mexico. This is about the stupidest thing that America/Mexico has ever done. But its always helpful to sign the petitions that are online. The main ones link is in my source list. Hopefully our government will realize what a huge mistake they will be making if they allow the Chapmans to be extradited.

Just waiting on extradision from MEXICO, I think he is a god for doing what he did to get that nasty rapist off the streets, I pray for him and Beth everyday that he will get off of this because he did what everyone else wanted to do and couldn't...

He is awaiting extradition. That is an outrage, he should get a medal for what he did, not a prison sentence.
