What about the jobs lost due to certain laws, that end up ruining a whole town; logging towns, mining towns... Thousands of people are put on the street because they can't pay their bills because they lost their job over environmental laws?
What about the livestock farmers who are going under because they can't afford corn to feed their animals due to the increased price because corn is being used for alternative fuels?
What about the thousands of people who deoend on cheap U.S. corn prices to simply stay alive? Corn is the staple of their diets. This is the situationin Mexico right now. Thousands of people have been efeected by the rising costs of tortillas. They can't afford to eat.
I'm not saying environmental laws are bad, but our politicians need to keep everything in perspective. These laws hurt thousands of people.
