I have a great concept in an area that is not out there really. My background is in graphic design and photography, so I know the look of the magazine will be great. My dilemma is organizing even for the first issue. Where do I start?

on the internet, who knows in one year you might have 2 readers. that is, if your mom and dad know how to use the internet.

The first step is always the hardest just get writing anything at this point it'll come, check out the competition at chapters bookstore, build your mag around an already published magazine for artisans. wait till the end to develop a cover page; it should really reflect the content.

The internet is a good place to start like ezine....but you can also pitch your idea to publishers so they can fund it...if you have the money to fund a publication take it to a printing press then a distributor to sell it...good luck

start writing. maybe produce your own blog online.
