How can a foreign-educated downgrade their physical therapist degree to physical therapist assistant?

You don't need ot downgrade your degree. If your degree qualifies you to work as an assistant or a therapist or whatever. you can work as an assistant with your degree. don't downgrade. if the company knows you have the degree they will be that much more eager to hire you as an assistant (unless they think you are only taking this job temporarily and will not stay) then they might have second thoughts.

EXCEPT!!! the medical industry (specifically PT's, OT's and RN's) has many people who are traveling around the country working contract for short terms (one month to one year) then moving on to another assignment.
