I still think about my "first" love. I always have, and, I imagine, I always will. Like you, her and I fell deeply in love as teenagers and, due to parental circumstances, we were forced to break up.
"Do you still dream of your first love?" It's been well over a decade since we parted ways, and, YES! I still have dreams involving her. The dreams aren't sad, sexual or anything like that. The dreams are always just of us together like a couple.
We have never attempted to get back together. Unlike you, after we moved away to college, we lost complete touch. The first time we saw each other, talked, etc. was just a few months ago at our 10 year highschool reunion. Check this out: Before I could even take 2 steps inside the door of the event, a girl stopped me and told me that SHE was there and that SHE wanted to know if I would be interested in talking to her. I literally hadn't even been visable to the crowd for 20 seconds! Of'course, I told the girl yes...and, this made my night, week, year by the way! Nonetheless, I went over and saw her. It was the first time our eyes had met in a decade. Neither one of us said a word for an uncomfortable amount of time while looking at each other. Then, we hugged; We made small talk; you know, talked about the families, careers, etc. I had just gotten divorced a year earlier...she had just gotten married a year before....anyways, we stared into each others eyes over and over, before deciding to part ways for the evening. We hugged as we parted and I told her that she will never know how much she means to me; she said, I feel the same. We told each other we loved each other;;looked each other in the eyes....I told her how gorgeous she looked; A tear came down her cheek, and we parted ways.
First TRUE loves mean everything in my opinion. I'm sure she would say the same thing.

I think your first love is always going to stick out in your mind since it was your FIRST LOVE.I have been married for 16 yrs to the man I love with all of my heart and soul,we have been together for 22 yrs.But I still remember every once in a while my first love. What it would be like to see him or talk to him again, one never ever forgets their first love.I will always hold a place in my heart for him but would never want to go back or even contemplate the idea of having a fling with him or any other kind of encounter other than a nice conversation.I think we can all relate to the heart skipping a beat when we hear from or see our first loves but that is only because we have not seen or heard from someone we cared about for a very long time.

There will always be a place in my heart for her. I think of her fairly often and would love to see her again someday, we were young and I was inexperienced and immature, which caused the end. It's been twenty something years if that helps answer your question, and I remember like it was last week. At the time we both thought we would be together forever.
I believe I will think of her at times for the rest of my life. The answer would be yes, she's there forever. I did contact her some time ago through e-mail, she's doing well, very content, still with a full plate. There were a thousand things I would have loved to tell her, but for respect for her and her husband, chose not to.

Before I tell my story, I want to say, that I'm happily married and I would never leave or cheat on my husband. But, he wasn't my first love and he knows that.
My first love, we lost contact over the years. I still think about him often. Where is he now? What is he doing? Does he still think about me? These are questions I will probably never know the answer too. I've had dreams of him. He was the one I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with, but it just wasn't meant to be. I have no regrets where my life is now. Love can be better the second time around.

I went to school with these two brothers one was a year older the other was a year younger than me.
I was new to the high school and I didnt no anyone, every day they would both give me a smile and say hello.
After I had finished school I seen them around at partys and got to know the older brother quite well. He asked me out and I took along time but finally said yes....he was one of the nicest most caring guys I had ever met and he would have done anything for me....
After a little while I broke up with him for a no reason...I guess I was a teenager and was pretty wild...and stupid....
I forever regreted it and he wouldnt take me back...
After a couple of years I seen the younger brother out one night and we hooked up and spent alot of time together...not dating but very close to it..
The older brother now has a new gf and is doing very well
and I have a great man that I love very much...
I am now living with the youger brother as friends. I sometimes wondered what I had missed out on ..
But I am very happy with my man....

I still talk to my first love. Actually like a decade passed between when we broke up and when we started talking again. I still love him, he's a great guy, but I don't LOVE him, it is no longer a romantic relationship. I'm glad he's my friend now and he's one of the better people I know. However, he is not a threat in the least to my boyfriend, whom I do love in that romantic, man-woman kind of way.

I am right now engaged and now I recently ran into my ex who I NEVER got over, and prolly will never get over, i guess they really do stick with you, but because they are a part of who you are, I too blame lots of failures in love to the fact that I never really tried with him, we are still friends and talk via myspace, we got our own things, but still, no matter what for some reason we're each other's number 1

I had my first love 2 years ago and it freaking haunts me. I talk to her every day and we agree that if we are ever single again we will date each other (we broke up for an exterior reason) and dang... I wish I could go back so bad, but I have come to the realization that if it was meant to happen that it will and just hope and pray that it does.

I still think of him daily. I have tried to get back together, but it isn't from the lack of wanting too. I'm currently in a bad marriage and just feel like I should resolve it before I even think of anything more.

My first love and I kind of drifted apart after high school - (a long story). We didn't see or talk to each other for 40 years and then one day she called me and we got together and married after those 40 years. Lots in between but to answer your question, first loves are special and we never forget them. I didn't and look what happened.
