Those are the dinosaurs with the plates on the back and spines on their tails. So forget about the possibility of mounting. Come to think of it...how would an Anklyasaurus would mate? i'm stumped.

Recent studies have suggested that the spinal plates on Stegosaurus were articulated and that they could move them from side to side to provide thermoregulation - so they could be pointed straight up or they could be relaxed and spread wide like an umbrella - which would remove pointy hindrances to the dance of love.

Stegosaurus and Anlylosaurus skeletons are modestly common (for fossils), so regardless of exactly how they mated - they obviously did it a a lot.

may be that it has scales under his belly that are very solid so he can mount.
