Yes he will make a differences for the Chicago cubs. I think that cubs would win their division this year. Pinella would be a big part of this team having success and everywhere he goes team win except when he was with the devil rays. But he is a great manager and the he would make the cubs a winning team because he knows how to used the right players to win games.

without notice Joe Girardi feels like a baseball genius, yet you are able to no longer placed to a lot fault on the top of Mr. Pinella. This comparable unhappy, pathetic tale has been happening in Cubdom for almost a century. perchance next year is the year. The Cubs would be bought, the Tribune activities writers will certainly be waiting to criticize a nasty business enterprise through fact they gained't be ripping their own product.. Wrigley container is a MLB Stadium, no longer a social club to have exciting. winning is exciting! All it relatively is left is to rip down that sandlot, pass to a different area of the north area and re-invent themselves. extremely some gifted ball gamers have gone via Wrigley over the years and that they consistently finally end up leaving empty.(Grace, Palmeiro, oh yeah Joe Girardi. The stigma of being generally happening through fact the amazing losers turns into all too obvious after some months on that roster and that they found out they made a mistake signing with the Cubs. no person needs to play for a dropping business enterprise, perchance the Cubs are cursed, yet they simply have themselves AND Cub followers in charge. the only i've got self assurance sorry for is Derek Lee. There is going misplaced time of a huge ball participant who I particular needs yet another ring.

yeah I think he can. I am not an avid Cubs fan and do not live there but Pinella has shown that he can win and the managers in the past have had talent and did not carry it through. Dusty and Alou just did not have the kind of firebrand control that Pinella can bring to a team. If he has talent he will win. He suffered in Tampa Bay where they paid him a ton to manage a poor team but he was very successful in NY. I say give Lou a chance and he will do the job.

Im a Cardinal Fan,and I know that Sweet Lou will make a difference with that club.He is a no-nonsense kind of guy like Jim leland,Tony Larussa,Joe Torre. Those guys know the game of baseball and how to play it.The managers always takes a lot of heat for their teams play, which is how it should be.And little credit for all the good things that result in such hard work. The Cubs are a big question mark at this time,Theres 162 games to play .

It is said that a good manager will win a team maybe 5 games a year, no more. If Lou can hold his temper and not create a side show like he has done everywhere else the Cubs can and should win the NL Central.

Yes, he will make a difference. I think he will be the perfect fit for your club. I'm a Reds fan, and I remember him taking the Reds to the championshiop in '90. By the way, did you know that he has only worn 41 in place of 14 as his manager number with two teams? The Reds due to Rose and the Cubs due to Banks. Good luck!!!!

Piniella will do a good job for the Cubs. But, until they let a goat into the outfield bleachers.....they will never win a World Series.

Yes. The guy is a solid manager with tons of baseball wisdom. This was a good move by the Cubs organization to go out and get this guy.

It'll be hard NOT to make a difference on a team that has been so pathetic the last few years. But since the Cubs are still the Cubs, I wouldn't order those world series tickets anytime soon....
