It really depends on the area you live in. Rural areas offer certain type jobs, such as helping with stable duty, etc... Whereas, the sub-burbs offer different type jobs such as dog walking, pet sitting, snow shoveling, window washing, etc..., whereas, the urban setting offers different jobs such as shopping and running errands for elderly neighbors, weekend cleaning jobs, dog walking, pet sitting, etc... So see, it really does depend on your location.

There are many old people still living at home who would like to have someone they can call on to do small jobs around the house, or to run errands. Use your computer to print up business cards, visit these people in your neighborhood, let them know the skills you have (or would like to learn), and I'll wager you will be getting phone calls asking you to do a wide variety of things.

One of my friends sells stuff on EBay and his kids go with him to stores like antique malls and they look for stuff for him to sell. If he agrees that it looks like a good item, he gives them a percentage of what the thing sells for.
This is kind of a fun thing to do as a family and it gives them a way to earn extra money without having to worry about missing study time or hanging with their friends.
Don't know if you are up for the EBay challenge, but it is pretty fun. He bought a world war one uniform part for $7.50 and sold it for $516.00. Not every piece of course goes that much, but you never know what you might find in someone's attic or your grandparents or wherever.
Good luck.

When I was that young I swept floors and ran errands for a hairsalon for a couple bucks. But now that I think about it, with the laws nowadays maybe you couldn't do that. Maybe find someone in your area that will let you do that.
