Some of my dad's friends are forming a Pink Floyd tribute band. I think Anderson Council would be good. Your input?

There already is a Pink Floyd tribute band called "Anderson Council."

It depends on if they want everyone to know they are related to Pink Floyd songs or not. If so, then it's a cool name. Otherwise, I'd pick something else.

I think it's good. A good tribute band name would be kinda related to the band, IMO.

Possibly something a little more obvious. "Comfortably Numb" says Floyd to me
