was just going to say thank you for all the staff that have been very helpful for the preparation of Chinese New Year. I say that I only did five per cent of the work, whilst the other 95% are done by all the staff....xx for the decoration, xx for the story time preparation and xx for the banner....

Do you think it's appropriate to say like that?
Thanks

I wouldn't say "I did 5% of the work".... I would state "this staff is amazing, I couldn't have done it without them. They came up with XYZ, and their creativity has been noticed by this entire organization."

Spend more time on the adjectives, NO time on the percentages and you will have a nice sincere thank you.

I wouldnt mention percentages.
I want to thank the entire staff for their efforts in preparing for our Chinese New Year celebration. I am honored to have such wonderful colleagues who give of themselves so freely. Thank you to Mary for the decorations, Joe for the story time prep work, Binh for the banner. Thank you again and I wish you good fortune in the New Year.

**Just an idea......
