What color eyes would a child have if the mother has brown/dark brown eyes and the father(or alleged father) has blue eyes? I need plain explanation please. Have already been to the scientific sites and came away more confused than ever.

The cross is either bb x BB, or bb x Bb.
In the first cross they can only have brown eyed offspring. In the second it's 50:50.

Overall the child has a 25% chance of blue, 75% chance of brown.

really any color. Lets give the colors a code, B for brown Bl for blue and G for green. Mom has B B BL BL and dad has BL BL BL B since B is stronger then BL or G two B's give you brown eyes if you had BL BL G G you would have blue eyes since green is lesser of a trait. You get two sets from each parents so lets say you get BL B from mom and BL BL from dad you have blue eyes. You end up with four, two from each parent. Hope that makes sense

They can either be brown or blue. Blue and Blue is a blue eyed child. Brown and brown is a brown eyed child. Then the green and hazel are thrown into the mix there as well.

Doesn't matter. My mum and dad both have blue eyes, but me and my brother have dark brown. My husband and I have brown hair but my son has ginger .... somewhere along the line one of the aunts, uncles, grandparents come in. My father was born in NZ but he is dark because of Cherokee hehitage, but my mum and brother are white, while I have a browner skin. The ancestors all want to chip in somewhere along the line even though they're not here.
