Do you call it OCD? Anyways, I think I have that disorder. I wash my hands for hours, and I wash it thousand times a day. I'm so addicted to washing my hands. I tried to cut down washing my hands. But I just can't. I feel like I have to wash my hands. There are germs everywhere.

yeah that's what it's called. But I believe that OCD is just a bunch of bull. There's no such thing as someone not being able to destroy a habit. YOU JUST STOP! There's no disorder. Just a habit.

Right now you have bugs on your keyboard. Spray it with Lysol.

Yes you might have a problem. You can be cured my friend and you need professional help. Talk to your doctor. Theres more to it than just telling you how to solve your disorder. I had that for a while when I was a kid. I stopped on my own. Try getting dirty with clean dirt and play around with it. Beach sand is always good and "clean". Know in your mind that is clean and you dont need to wash your hands. People back in the day used dirt to clean there hands you know.

See a doctor and no one has to know right away that you have a problem.

Yes, there are germs everywhere. But washing your hands constantly is bad too. I wear disposable gloves when I am handling raw meat or working in my yard. And instead of washing your hands so much, try a splash of cheap vodka on them then rinse them. It is better than washing your hands 20 times a day and gets them clean. You can also wet a paper towel and wipe you kitchen table, counter , etc off instead of using bleach.

I hav a friend who used to suffer with this. He started to carry around with him a tube of waterless hand cleanser - you just rub it in and you don't need to wash it it off, it disappears. After a while he started to use it less and less. When that became the habit he replaced the cleanser with a hand cream. Because hand creamer leaves your hands feeling nice and soft, you feel like you need to use it less. He now uses hand cream 5-10 times a day. And he has REALLY NICE hands!!!

You won't know if you have the actual disorder until you go see a Dr and are diagnosed. Many people feel the same way & there is help to be had.
