I read that God of War 2 is the last title slated from PS2 production. Coming this Spring.

It's going to be at least 2 more years before companies will stop making games for the PS2. As a matter of fact, the PS2 is still outselling all the new consoles so it's still got some life left in it.

If you want to play God of War, then either get the PS3 or the PS2. At only 129.99, it's not a bad deal to get a PS2. There's thousands of games in the PS2 library. I'm sure you can find a bunch of PS2 games that you will like.

Refurbish just means that someone sent in a used, usually broken, PS2, and the company decides to fix it and sell it at a discounted price. The upside is that it's cheaper than a new PS2, and you still get the same warranty like a new PS2. Downside is that it was once broken, so there's a good chance that something else will get broken.
