Thanks!

If you take AP Chem will you take the test? If you would take the test, do you know if the schools you want to apply to would give you credit for them? Some schools don't give college credit for AP tests that you have taken. Others require you to have a certain score. For example, I was able to get calculus credit with a 4 on the AP test in Calc BC, but in order to get AP US History credit at my school I needed a 5 which I did not get. Many colleges ask for your non-weighted GPA on your application which means that an A would be counted as a 4 either way. If you are not planning on taking the test, they are basically the same class as far as I know and you should take the one that fits your schedule best. However, I think taking the AP test is a good idea if possible.

Well it's different for every school. But most of the time honors classes only give you 4 points for an A. AP give you 5 points for an A. Some schools only give you 4 for both though. When colleges look at your GPA though they take the 5's out and just put 4's though. They really dont care how hard the classes are they care about the grades you got in them. But AP still would look better on an app. But an A in honors would look better than a C in AP.
