What is the age differences and what sex are they? We used to breed Russian dwarfs. Putting a say, a 8 week old with a 6 month old can result into a fight over territory (death can occur). The hamsters need to be as close in age as possible. We have even had some fights, bad ones, with sibling males or females alike (one fight did result in a death I'm sorry to say). If they are the same sex go ahead and try, but remove right away if fighting occurs. Now, boxing is normal and what seems like fighting, but is only loud squawking and screaming, is alright. Fighting will typically have biting and blood shed.
