Yes; I do genealogy, and I'm in cemeteries a lot. I don't find them frightening at all, day or night. I think of them as places to gather information, and to learn about those who came before me. You'd be surprised how much a cemetery can teach you!

I would never walk by a graveyard on Halloween night because of all the spirits that come back every 300 years.

I gotta say, Australians don't really celebrate Halloween. It sucks. I wish we did. How fun would that be??? But no I wouldn't walk through any graveyard at night ever. I'm to much of a scaredy cat.

Halloween started as a Druid holiday, Samhain. It was a time when Druids believed the veil between the "spirit world" was the thinnest and travel between the two was most likely.

Costumes started from people dressing their children (and sometimes themselves) up to look scary enough to chase away ghost, demons or other baddies that might lurk on the "other side of the veil."

Seeing as we should all be rational people, I'm pretty sure most anyone would walk by the grave.

Not on your life! I'm not superstitious or anything, but a graveyard during the day is creepy enough for me.
