My girlfriend said she is willing to spend up to $300 for a prom dress...I'm just wondering if she's lost it. I'd say $150-$200 max

You only get to do certain things once in your life, prom is one of those things, so she should go all out and have a great memory.

Well then you are not a girl. Here is what I would suggest. Tell her to buy the dress she wants (no matter what the cost) tuck the tags inside the dress and then go to the prom looking like the prom queen and the next day, take the dress back.

No. Prom is the day to just go all out. I spent, I mean my mom, spent $200 something close to $300 on my prom dress. Yeah it is pretty expensive but it's prom.

Good news is that she doesn't want a $500 one. That is pretty typical honestly. Most girls spend at least 250 dollars on a prom dress. I believe I spent $275 on mine (Of course that was 10 years ago!)

girls these days spend a lot more than that on a prom dress. that's nothing to what i've heard in my econ class a year back. girls spend around 600-700 on the night alone. and the guy spend around 500. i'm not sure if i wanna go to prom. i'm broke as hell lol but you're right. infact, they should just go in thongs and bras. but that's the immature side of me

It matters what the dress quality is,and the detail in the dress.Some people spend up to thousands of dollars on prom dresses.It all depends on your opinion and the amount of money you have to spend.

i imagine the 4th one is extremely the first is okay besides the undeniable fact that the second one+third one i'd take those again b-cuz you'll look again on the dress 4 some thing else of your existence and promenade is a few thing that you want to be remembered 4all the girls needed they were u and each and each and every of the adult men needed they were with u thats what the 4th one says 2 me

In my opinion far to much, but if she or her parents have the money, I guess it is their business. Consider how much they are asking just for jeans, sneakers and other clothing now. I know you can wear them again, but if it makes her happy?
