Can't people ever just say simply no? Why is it necessary to bash other people's beliefs ESPECIALLY in the name of God, it's so petty. I cannot picture God being like..."yup... look at all that hate... gotta love it, I'm so darn proud". People have the right to be what they want to as long as they aren't purposely hurting others. And NO a lesbian or gay man being a minister does NOT count as purposely hurting others. Grow up people, come on...opinions are not facts!

I'm sure that there are a lot of closeted ministers and priests already. There are some that are openly gay.

I am a gay minister and my church supports me.
I have been in service to people for 5 years now
in sacerdotal duties. i love it very much and it has strengthened my resolve to wave that rainbow flag proudly at pride events.

Sure if they love the deity that they are becoming ministers for - love the parishioners and are ready to help others.

If one feels he or she has been called to the ministry and is willing to make a serious, mature, long-term commitment to the many years of study required for entry into this profession, sexual orientation is irrelevant. We mortals are not authorized to tell God whom he may or may not call to His service.

If that is their calling in life, then of course they should. I worked with a lesbian pastor for a few years and she was one of the kindest people I've ever met.

sure. the tortured youth of today need people to look up to when they are cast aside by society. let it be known that there are people who are strong enough to bear the hardship of being homosexual in a prejudiced world and help those who are struggling also. and far be it for anyone to stop them. they have their rights. you have yours. let it be.

I don't see why not. They should have the same rights as every other citizen. If that is what's in their calling, let them.
