I took my belly ring out around mid-December. Is it too early to get it re-pierced? How long do I have to wait??

Although I was told to wait 3 months, I waited 6 months to get mine repierced. And even then, the pain from the needle going thru the scar tissue was so much that I teared up, and I have a high pain tolerance. Sad to say, expect a bloody mess. Of course, mine didn't grow out the first time; the barbell fell out while I was sleeping. So the scar tissue was right in line with where the new piercing was going to be.

Before getting it repierced. lie down in a hot bath and take a belly button ring or something to tunnel through the old scar tissue with first. Start to tunnel through the buttom and then start at the top you can possible get to the center and repeat the process and tunnel completely through and will not have to get repierced. Please try this I got repierced after mine was taken out for three years. The second time I was pierced it was not deep enough and ripped out. I did the above that I just mentioned and was able to get the old three year old hole back in use. I didn't even have to get it repierced if I would have known this before. I also did this on a few friends that said theirs closed up and it also opened up thiers. There is something with the hot water and tunneling from the bottom of pierced hole and to tunneling through the top that just works..

I would wait a solid three months so it's completely healed - so wait another month, until the middle of March!
