If you were going to Mexico or the Dominican Republic, what would you want in a care package??

My bf used to travel a lot because he was in the Navy. He bought a leather bound book with thick paper and pasted all kinds of things in it - take out menus and polaroid pictures, matchbooks, brochures, leaves - if something was too big to paste he'd put it in an envelope taped the the page like a pocket. And he'd write on the pages anything he thought of - journal entries some days, jokes others, sometimes just a random thought. Then when he'd come home he'd give it to me so I felt like I was part of his travels. And then he'd set off to fill another. I always looked forward to seeing what would be in the next "volume".

I would want little things, you know things for like inside jokes, stuff only me and that person would know about that way it would remind me of the special time and I would get to laugh and have some fun thinking about it. I think when you pack a care package its more about the little things someone misses rather than the bigger parts. So pack some small personal items including things you know the person is missing and you'll be good!! Just be sure not to make them feel too guilty about being away that they get jealous!!

Forgiveness. It wasn't any particularly special time in my life, as far as I knew at the time. But it is a permanent gift, and from it derives many other blessings, including my relationship with my Creator.

For last Christmas this one guy told me he had a present for me...
the next time i saw him he had this red ribbon around his wrist and he held it out for me to untie. then he took it and tied it on my wrist... apparently i got him for Christmas! it was the sweetest and most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me... he got on one knee and everything...
that was the best gift i've EVER gotten.
