Umm i am going to start playing WoW and i was worndering what is the story behinde the game???(Burning Crusades)

WoW's story line directly relates to Warcraft III. You could play that game through for a good idea. Also there are several novels and a LOT of information on the offical, and fan, sites

Ok, WoW is based on ALL the last 3 Warcraft series, but currently, it is based on the last warcraft, in which The Burning Legion has failed in trying to dominate the universe. The Burning Legion is a society of demons and a bunch of other captured races, the new Draenie race is based on one of the captured races, where they escaped Sargeras, the BL's leader. Basically, WoW is all about the aftermath of the Bl's last attack on Azeroth(official name of WoW), and the story changes depending on the race.
Blood Elves are trying to cope with the last attack from King Arthas(corrupted prince who killed Kinger Uther the Light Bringer, king arthas is now fused with the Lich King [the rulern of the undead, minion of the BL] and he treid ressurecting a necromancer from the BE sunwell, therefore making it explode, creating massive damage upon the BE society)
Orcs are trying to deal with their corrupted brethren, the Fel Orcs, who have drank from the blood of a powerful demon from the BL, and i really dont know much about them, cause i dont have an orc, all i know is that they are trying to thrive and make peace with humans.
The Forsaken(undead) are trying to exterminate all life on Azeroth (the continent), and are trying to make life for all races a living hell, they are also trying to find a cure for undeath.
Trolls are trying to reclaim their society from a bunch of other troll clans, when they had a major civil war amongst each other, when the BL invaded WoW, they destroyed nearly all troll civilization.
Taurens are trying to preserve their way of life, and teaching the orcs about shamanism, since that is their primary religion, they are trying to aid the Horde in a series of battles that are never ending, and are just trying to make peace.

well burning crusade is the 2 new charactersand there new places and things like that i am happy to see you are joiining WOW i play it too its fun hope u enjoy it... also the burning crusade characters are the blood elves and drainy im only ten but i know what im talking about...

Well, to get the story more you should play the original Warcrafts. Also check the site and read up on the races and etc.
They also have Warcraft novels that I hear are pretty cool.

well.....ok...u asked for it. Heres the basics. They are 2 factions , teams, in the world. The Horde and Alliance. The Horde consist of Orc, Troll, Tauren, Blood-elves, and the undead. The alliance consist of the Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes, Dranei, and Night Elves. They are at war. Basically you chose your side and fight the other.

well, there are these crusades, and they burn. And then u have to put out the fires b4 time runs out. But usually no one cares about the "burning crusades" too busy killing each other
