Did I ever get stung by a bee!!!

We had some friends over for dinner one summer evening, & we'd left the windows open to let some fresh air in. It wasn't just the air that came in! A bee entered....started buzzing around....came pretty close to my ear. I swatted it away and the buzzing stopped, so I thought it had gone.

Bt I was wearing this loose, square-necked top, and the neck must have been gaping a bit, coz a few seconds later, I felt a buzzing against my chest!!! I ran up to my room, followed by my mom who was wondering wht the hell had gotten in to me. There was no way the stupid bee was going to fly up & out, so I had to unhook my bra & swat it to make it fly down.....and I got stung in the process. But luckily it was a pretty small bee, so it didn't hurt as much.

And yes, I've also been stung more conventionally, by stamping on them accidentally.

Several times, actually, but it was nothing serious because i'm not allergic. My mom got stung by 8 wasps at once and she had to go the hospital when she a little kid. Now whenever she is stung that part of er body still swells up really bad, and it turns all red. I think she is allergic to bees.

At one time, I had 9 bee stings at one time, in a couple places on my body, We had just changed out the Queen bee in a hive and there were some ANGRY bees. My hand swelled up like a blown up rubber glove. I also stepped on a bee once and it stung my foot, it swelled up pretty big too.

Yes, I was stung last summer. My Mom and I were sitting in the swing and I kept feeling this pain in my finger. I couldn't figure out why my finger was hurting. I looked down and a bee was on it. I picked up a cig box and hit it to knock it off. I had to hit it about 3 times before I got it off. It left it's stinger in me. My finger was so sore. I got stung on the vein and the pain went down to my fingertip. It also swelled. When it started healing the itch was unbelievable.

here are some tips to avoid getting stung by a bee
The best way to keep from getting stung by bees is to avoid places where they spend time, like gardens or orchards in bloom. If you are going to be outside in summertime, keep your shoes on and don't wear sweet-smelling perfume. Dress in long pants and a lightweight, long-sleeved shirt. Avoid bright-colored clothing and clothing with flowery prints. Cover food at picnics, and don't drink soda from open cans at a summer picnic or barbecue - yellow jackets like to climb inside for a sip.

Stay away from garbage cans in summer that are swarming with bees. If you suddenly see a bee flying around you, don't swat at it or run around. This makes bees angry and upset, and they may sting. Just move slowly or stand still instead, and the bee will be more likely to move on.

Only twice that I can remember. Once by a honeybee when I was a little kid. Then about ten years ago my brother and I got chased by wasps or hornets and I got stung once. We have swarms of wasps around our house in the summer. I'm surprised I haven't gotten stung by any of them yet.

Yes, I've been stung 3 times in my life... The first time I was in my 20's. But each time my reaction has gotten worse, so I hope I'm not getting allergic to them. They really, really hurt. Have you?
