Working in the vet industry you see a lot of heartache but this one day a man called up and was telling me that he had heard this old lady on the radio the night before saying that her dog was sick and she could afford a vet bill. It ended up that the dog was not on a good diet and was in desperate need for Spaying. A stranger called up and offered to pay for the dogs spay and get the dog up to date with needles again. All up all the things she has done cost 400$. I never met the man but it was one of the kindest thing I have ever heard someone do for a stranger. I Dropped the dog back hpme that night as the lady didnt drive and she invited me in for a cup of tea. So i stayed and listen to her sad story of how her husband had had a stroke and his kids (She was Re- married with step children), where trying to take the house of her from right under her nose they had taken of with money & left her and her dog living on Sausage rolls! I set up eating parcels 4 her and visited reguarly.

I took a homeless family under my wing, so to speak. By the time I had them up and going with a place to live, clean clothes, found a job, got the kids in school, etc. I realized I had spent $1200. And enjoyed every moment of it!

Now my family finds a family and bring them back up to standards without them knowing who did it each year. It's our Christmas gift to us.

Thank you for sharing the touching story. When i hear stories like that, a bit of my confidence in humanity is renewed. i wish i could say that i have done something as selfless and kind as that man did, but i cannot. Not yet, anyway. i used to leave little gifts on the desks of the mothers at my workplace on mother's day. i would leave them anonymously. It warmed my heart to do that, but i would love to be able to REALLY help more people out. There is so much pain and loss and heartbreak in the world. Sigh. Okay, i am done. Again, thanks for sharing and best wishes!
