Six Flags is pretty lame. I've been to 10 different ones, and the service was bad, lines were long, and the rides weren't that thrilling. My favorite amusement park is Cedar Point, in Sandusky, Ohio. The best coasters there are (in order of greatness):
1. Magnum XL-200
2. Top Thrill Dragster
3. Millennium Force
4. Raptor
5. Iron Dragon
Magnum was the first coaster to pass 200 feet tall (built in 1989).
Millennium Force was the first coaster to pass 300 feet tall (built in 2000) and 90 miles per hour.
Top Thrill Dragster was the first coaster to pass 400 feet tall and goes over 120 miles per hour (built in 2004).
Raptor is a wild ride. It is an inverted coaster, meaning that your feet dangle below you and the track is above. It ends in a Cobra roll.
Iron Dragon is a suspended coaster, meaning that the track is above you and you swing in pivoted cars. Very fun, fast, and smooth.

Cedar Point, Sandusky Ohio.
It's been voted the world's best amusement park for 9 consecutive years and features 17 roller coasters (with the construction of Maverick). They are also home to the (voted) #2 roller coaster in the world, Millennium Force. They also feature several other award winning rides such as Top Thrill Dragster (the world's second tallest and fastest.)
For any roller coaster lover, Cedar Point is the place to go.
Following Cedar Point, Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey is also a great park. They feature the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster, Kingda Ka. As well as the steepest wooden coaster, El Toro. Not to mention the floorless coaster, Medusa, and the massive hyper coaster, NITRO.
Those two parks are must see locations!

My favorite of all the parks I've been to in the US is the
Millenium Force at Cedar Point. Sandusky Ohio. It is truly the
the best park for roller coasters. They dont have many sissy rides there. Also the Top Thrill Dragster is awsome but my favorite is the Millenium Force because it lasts a while longer than most coasters.
