Today is 6 dpo, if i did concieve i will be three weeks today. i am going to test sunday and am hoping so much for a positive. my questions are

1.how soon after getting a postive HPT will my doctor want to see me? (ive herd not until 6 weeks)

2.what all happens during your first visit?

3. how soon will a sonogram be done?

1)Depends on your doctor, I was seen at 5-6 weeks.

2)Mostly ask you questions, pap smear if you're around due, get blood samples taken

3) Again, depends on your doctor.. At my doctor not until 18-20 weeks.

So much depends on your doctor. Mine doesn't see people before 8 weeks. My first visit was actually with a nurse to establish a due date, go over financial details, make sure you're taking prenatal vitamins, and medical history. My doc does an ultrasound at the first visit with them to establish that the baby is the right size based on when the last period started. You'll also be weighed, have blood pressure taken, listen to heart beat (maybe not until second visit), pee in a cup, and get to ask doc any questions you have.

1 they did not want to see me till i was 12 weeks but I'm from Canada
2 first visit feel belly take lots of blood some times they check under the hood look around do some sobs
3 don't do one till 18 weeks unless you have had cramps or bleeding
