"Genius has no country." I interpret this to mean that it is limitless, transcending all boundaries - physical, emotional, and mental; this includes all creeds, races, any and everything by which a human defines, categorizes, or identifies oneself from another person or thing.

"Genius is like the light, the air." We see and feel the sensory effects of it but are not always aware of or consciously tuned into the source or cause. It is ever present, all-pervasive, and shines equally upon all.

"It is the heritage of all." I believe genius exists within all living beings, either in a dormant state, an awakening state, or fully realized state. I also believe that in a realized state, the greatest earmark of genius is the utter simplicity of unmocked humility. For what is genius without true humility? I believe the Divine Source who created all living things is an intelligent power. Genius is like an untapped reservoir lying dormant within each one of us. We all have the potential of genius intelligence within us, irrespective of the myriad expressions it may manifest in form on the physical level.
I enjoyed your question.

Genius has no country because it blossoms everywhere. Genius people doesn't have to come from a single country. Every people have their own gifts to prosper... and so you can find them everywhere. Its like a heritage of all by means of, one should not be a genius for just one nation... but for the humanity. Nationalism hinders one to care for most people of the world. We are all created to be one with the world not just one nation. Be a heritage of all.

No race, country, or class has a monopoly on genius. True genius can occur anywhere. True genius is not an academic achievement. True genius becomes a lifestyle. It expresses itself in everything. It is humble. It picks ideas like apples from a tree. It comes more from the heart, than it does from the mind.

That is a lovely quotation! I interpret it to mean that no race or nationality is the smartest or best or has some special ownership of genius or inspiration. Genius and inspiration and creativity is everywhere; all of us can access it and flow in it, no matter what race or color or nationality.

it means that the guy who wrote it has no idea what being a genius is all about...

most of the morons, ding dong and nut jobs that i know and interact with in this life...are definitely no where near genius'.

they are mediocre to below sub-standard that want to be something more than they really are...they want to feel smart, important and special...all while they are wearing paper hats, flipping burgers and scooping fries...

It means anyone and anything can inspire intelligence and creativity. It is a birthrite of all people, regardless of race, religion, economic level, etc. All of us have within us the potential for genius. And the only thing that can hold you back from it is you.

To me it could mean that everything, every person, plant, animal, is important to this world. That no one should think they are better than others; life would not be possible without it ALL!
And that's the genius behind it all!

I'd say it describes the intellect. "no country", "like the light, the air" denotes metaphorically the ever-existing nature of the intellect, transcending territorial boundaries, which could in turn imply ethnic and religious differences. "It blossoms" also speaks of its liability to grow and develop, just like the intellectual mind, and hence definitely not referring to inborn talents. Above all, 'intellect' should replace 'It' in the last line perfectly, for it's what civilisations and all possible constructions of knowledge sat upon.

Just my opinion, hope it helps=)
