I have the special tool but am not sure how to use it.

Insert the plastic 'c' shaped tool onto filter/line connection. Push tool TOWARD THE LINE, while pulling the line AWAY from the filter AT THE SAME TIME. Repeat this step for the other side. During installation of the new filter, simply connect the line to the filter an press, until you hear the 'click'. Hope this helps.

I Belive the oil filter on this truck is on the left side. Near the dirver door. They sell a fuel filter disconnect to that you can by at any parts house. That you apply pressure and the filter comes right off.

Good question I have 94 There is a special tool from the auto parts store for this. I know its a weird looking connection and without that tool you will be wasting your time.

Invest in a Chilton's or a Hayes repair manual ....sounds like it will pay for itself the first repair....and will come in very handy in the future !!!
