Is it normal for me not to like almost everything that comes on MTV ( etc ) these days.

Yes, I remember when the M in MTV stood for Music and not Mediocre. It isn't just you.

MTV has sucked ever since the premier of the Real World season 1. As soon as they lost their focus on music videos, they lost their reason for existing. I'm more likely to see a music video on CNN at any given time than I am on MTV.

While I enjoyed some of their shows, I think that in a perfect world, those shows would be on another channel and MTV would be pure music videos all the time.

I agree with you.

What ever happened to MTV just being music clips and interviews?

The other stuff just makes me change channels.

And other gripe is the constant 'call this number to win' which in turn costs a fortune for each call!

MTV should've changed their name 10+ years ago, because that's how long they've stopped playing musical videos. RTV (Reality TV) is more suitable

i think so... but then again alot of the music has gone downhill... no wait a minute... britney spears and spice girls were around before... no.. i think now that they're off the scene music is BETTER!!!! exept in a way not... aghh i dont know.... dont confuse me....
