I have about a year before they make me pick a major. While i've though about what I want to do with my life a lot I can't find anything that holds my attention in the classroom. In fact i find I have very little interests. I love to play soccer but I already know any type of biology class is not for me. I enjoy english but only because i like to write. even so having to write a paper for class stresses me out. and everyone is a business major. So how did you pick your major...maybe it will help me pick mine.

I was going to be a veterinarian. Took a calligraphy class "just for fun" in my sophomore year and it just felt right. One thing led to another--I've been working as a graphic designer for many years now. So I didn't pick the right major--I stumbled into it almost by accident.

But if you are feeling some pressure to make a decision, make finding an answer part of your educational process. If you like writing, ask your writing teachers for suggestions about career options. Ask other professors and coaches who've gotten to know you for their suggestions too. They may see things in you and have options that you have never considered.

Stressing out isn't necessarily a bad thing because it means you care about what you are doing and you want to do it well.

Go to the career services department at your campus and ask if there are resources to help you decide. Good luck!

When I went to college I had no idea what I wanted to be. I knew I loved books and writing, so I figured something in that field. Your first two years of college are basically general education requirements. While in those gen ed English classes, I fell in love with it even more and decided to make English my major. Then I thought, there's no guarantee I'll be able to make it as a magazine writer, so I better have a backup plan. I chose English Education, and during my first teaching observation I fell in love with it. I watched the teacher take a group of dis-interested 8th graders and get them totally involved in Romeo and Juliet. What she did was like magic, and I wanted to be able to do that too. I was amazed. So I didn't go into college thinking I would be an English teacher, but I came out of it as one. Go undeclared. You'll know from your responses to your gen ed classes what you're interested in and what you love, and go from there.

I originally went to school thinking I wanted to be a business major. Then I took sociology classes as part of my gen ed requirements and fell in love with it. I had always intended on going to grad school so it didn't matter what i studied in undergrad and chose to go with my heart.

possibly evaluate psychiatry incredibly. It has factors of psychology in it, yet is a scientific profession. the only distinction is that psychiatry diagnoses psychological matters. or maybe medical psychology. in basic terms instruct your mom extra approximately psychology and how it incredibly is a splendidly first rate profession, and she or he'll decrease back off. it is your existence. it is your substantial. in case you prefer to become a psychologist, she should not be the only to end you. you at the instant are not likely to be triumphant in something which you do in contrast to. in basic terms in view which you have a substantial for a 'properly paying profession' does not advise which you would be properly paid. regulation and scientific stages are costly, and while you at the instant are not solid at what you're doing (are not getting a job, are not getting a extreme sufficient paying activity), the pupil loans will kill you and your mom.
