yes, it's a bit vague... sorry.

what info i wish to have is in terms of quality (is it flimsy? battery life good? break easily or not?) and user friendliness.

i'm not going to be using the internet on it but will probably use text messaging. mp3 features are not a big deal for me either.

if it has a camera, that's fine but not a priority.

my opinion, nothing comes close in quality to nokia. Best reception, best battery life, and best features for the dollar. While many users on here are trying to figure out ways to get new ringtones and have to go through a lengthy process of converting, uploading, etc., with virtually all new nokias (even those some 4 years old), getting a new mp3 ringtone is as easy as placing the music on a flash drive. Get any N series or business E series phones and Im sure you will enjoy the wireless internet with full html browsing, the fast and fully customizable S60 operating system, and on the N95, the latest in GPS house to house navigation, 5MP camera, you name it, it probably has it built in.

I suggest the sidekick 3 at t-mobile. It's sooooo cool!!! The sidekick 3 has everything. It has a camera and a mp3 player and internet and everything!!

In my opinion, the Motorola Razor is the best! It's slim and sleek, and there are tons of great features. You can get it in fun colors too. I have had it since it came out. This my second one and have not had any problems at all!!!!
