My little Brother was the same way. i completely know what your going throe and it's one of the scariest things to ever experience. it turned out that my brother had autism. sometimes when there little and they go throe that kind of trauma it can leave them with some abilities or learning abilities which our doctor diagnosis my little brother having autism, speak to your doctor, have the child get CAT scan again and look for signs in the brain for early autis,. in most cases children don't get it BUT if there young and have seizures that is normally a early sing of autism. I dont want to scare you. please call your doctor, this is something you dont want to hold off. it's important. they should also have medication for the baby to take to calm her system down too.
Good Luck!!!

We have a 20 month old girl who at 4 months had her first seizure while she was being held by her daddy. She had another one in the ER while we were waiting for the transfer to the children's hospital. She had 2 mor at the hospital, along with a zillion tests. her EEG was abnormal but they still did not know why she had the seizures. She went home 3 days later on medication and went seizure free until 3 days after a clear EEG right after her first birthday. She had her worst one yet so back to the ER we went. They upped her meds and has been OK since.
I know how you feel because we still do not know what the true cause is , and if and when they will happen again and whether it will be worse.
Short of medication , there is really nothing you can do to prevent them. Get certified in CPR is what I did. Read up on what to do if she does have another , or ask the doctor for information .
Good Luck.

I am no doctor, but for some time my son also had seizures. I got my family doctor to recommend me to a neurologist. He was diagnosed with epilepsy. Also, like your daughter, his blood work, cat scans, EEG, and MRI all came back normal, though he still continued with seizures. With epilepsy 80% of the time there is no known cause the seizures just happen and all the tests are normal. People look at my son and say really, he has epilepsy? He has been on anti-seizure meds for 3 yrs and they are pretty much under control. I'm not saying this is what your child has but it is something to consider and discuss with her doctor. Keep in mind, there are so many different things that can cause seizures and as many unknown reasons for seizures. Also, each individuals symptoms and seizures are different. And yes, often times a seizure does strike because of a high fever. Best of luck to you and your baby.

My sister had seizures from the time she was a couple days old until she was three. She just had them randomly for no reason. She is now seven years old and hasn't had a seizure since she was about three. The doctors weren't sure what caused the seizures they said maybe that part of her brain wasn't connecting fully and just when she got a little older it grew together. But the doctors never offered a concrete explanation. So maybe after some time the seizures will stop with your daughter.

My friend's son had seizures as a baby/toddler and she is pretty sure it was linked to vaccines. Was your daughter recently vaccinated before the seizures? There is documented cases of seizures related to the DPT and MMR vaccines. From what I have also heard, there is no serious harm done by the seizures, although I am sure it's very scary at the time. I would take comfort from the test results showing everything as normal. Best of luck.

My son had them at not even a week old. He was admitted to the hospital and it was found his calcium levels were high. He hasn't had any since they regulated those. I don't know if that can happen in a child your daughter's age, but it's something you could look into. I hope you are able to find out what's up.
