Yeah , i'm going with Tony on this one. I'd already had the idea of Jack White , and was wondering who Tony had picked since he was singled out, and was surprised to find out we concur , and more surprised to find you dissagree with him. That Jack White is a total hack! Sloppy , uninteresting guitar for sure. Hey , but if you like that kinda thing, he may be the best i guess.

Well, this is just an opinion, but I was once dragged to a Poison concert (yeah, yeah, laugh it up-she was REALLY cute), anyway, all things being relative, I figure the guitarist in a hair metal band (even one as lightweight as Poison), should still have some chops...
This guy (CC DeVille) was horrible. His solos were positively ear wrenching, sloppy, loud pointless scale runs that wandered aimlessly before petering out and disspating into whammy bar sludge. He was out of tune all night, yet he was still heavy in the mix and loving every minute of pelting the crowd with his sonic stink bombs. Chances are very good he was drunk, but I still consider his skills to have been minimal, at best.

Sure.. I hate to slam other musicians.. but I can recall a few.. A band that I saw that opened for George Benson during the 80's in Berkeley had a good rhythm section and great vocalist,but the guitarist was awful.. Won't mention the name.. sorry
