I am on disability and cannot work, my income is less than 1200.00 a month and I pay all my bills and expenses out of it, can anyone help me. My hot water heater is leaking and this leaves me with no water because I had to shut if off from the outside to stop the leak. I would not ask for help but I am desparate.

first thing look for shut off for the water heater there should be one if it was hooked up right in the first place and second you will need to replace it for they are glass lined and if they leak only one way is to replace and when you do have it fixed up to be able to shut the water for it they if you have leaks you will still have water,i know all about the disability thing and still you have to get some help,i put add in paper and got retired guy that works for five dollars an hour ,try it

Our area has the Elks, the Eagles, the Vets, there are more then several organizations that help the elderly and the disabled. Contact one of the, The shelters for the humanities, etc, they all are willing to come out and help. You'd be surprised at what you can get for asking. Call one of them, they'll steer you in the right direction.
