Morning After Pill?

Do you have to have an rx called into the pharmacy to get the morning after pill? Or can i just go there and get one?

You can go to most drug stores and get this pill- while it isn't a prescription required medication it does require most to be over the age of 18 for purchase. Also read the back of the box- some pills have age restrictions-like one says not to take if you are over the age of 17 ( in which case you need a parent or adult)

If you are under the age of 18 you do need a prescription. You can get one from Planned Parenthood, your GYN, or a local health center.

If you are over 18, you can buy Plan B over the counter at any drug store, just make sure that you have your ID with you.

The morning after pill is not an abortion, it prevents an egg from being implanted by causing you to shed the lining of your uterus. If that is an abortion then so is every period!

Dpeneding where you are, the emergency contraceptive pill will be available over the counter.

If you mean the Plan B medications, then no, you don't need a prescription and you can just walk in and purchase it. You have to be 18 years of age and older and be able to prove it.

i don't condone in any type of abortions have it and leave it at the hospital. If it is not for yourself talk to whoever it is wanting them. Birth control pills are cheaper so is condoms. Sorry if I sound harsh but everyone that have sex know what it can lead to.Children are our future and what if...........nothing i am finished cause I don't know your situation.
