We can all just be thankful that we have the right man in office. We are a noble nation and we don't commit mass murder. Sometimes individuals representing the government screw up and are punished for their crimes but these acts are not condoned by the government. You need to turn up your faith and block out your hate, that would make you happier and a better American. The outrage had nothing to do with politics.

9-11 was an excuse for the United States to start a war in the middle east so we the u.s. could gain control of the oil over there. And if you know what W., Chenney and Hliburton have in common? If you said oil you're exactly right. This is why were paying so much for gasoline every where! There was no W.M.D.'S! This was a good excuse that has since been discovered that this was "False Intellegence"? The dictionary discibes False Intellegence as lies. Now the U.S. and Isreal are hoping to start a war with Iran on some of the same infomation as this admistration told us very simular to Iraq but a slight twist/ same outcome. Another war! now that the Democrats have control over both the house and senate why don't they impeach these idiots now? With all the lies, snooping and re-writing the patriat act, stripping us of our privacy rights is way more than clinton haing sex on the side.

First you might want to check history. This is not a revenge war., as you are implying. This is a war that started more then twenty years ago. And yes the terrorist were not Iraqis. The idea to invade the middle East has been on the table for decades. The idea to invade was not wrong, the timing was. It is not mass murder of of Iraqi people, who is using this as a political strategy, THE TERRORIST. And by the way, who is bombing the iraqi people, THE TERORIST. What we should be outrage by President Bush is LOSING his back bone in letting the political body make ridiculous rules of engagement. Those rules are what is giving the insurgents( who are not Iraqis) the back bone and the ease of making our troops look weak. Oh by the way did you lose some one on 9-11? If so you might feel different!

We as a nation were still shell shocked when the our government took advantage of our skeptical state after 9-11.
We were terrified and instead of thoughtfully thinking about what was going on...we were instead..angry.
Instead of running and hiding we wanted to show the world as a nation, we had control. I remember people were actually really relieved that a tough republican was in office during September 11th. As I recall, there were many 'I'm glad George W. is in office' statements from friends and family.
With a huge amount of trust our leader decided it was a good time to basically do whatever he wanted to do for his own political reasons...and not for the best interest of the country.
As of now, we are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
On one side you have staying and helping the Iraqi people. On the other you have us leaving them in a timely manner (which the opposition will then devour the entire democracy set up).
There is no set answer. The worse thing to do would be to stay and allow more of our people to die. The even worse answer would be to get out of there immediately and leave the people of Iraqi in civil war.
The withdrawal from Iraq needs to be slow and thought out. Leaving too soon would mean handing of the country to it's enemies. We put them in this position now we have to follow through.
We have to live with our mistakes. Not sweep them under the rug.
Take responsibility for our actions.

You are angry about Iraq. That is understandable. Who is happy about that? Nobody is . It is not going as planned, just like most operations of war. What I can't under stand is if you are angry about Iraq, why not about Afganistan, Bosnia, the Balkins,Somaliia, the Ivory coast, Panama, the Philipines. This is just recent history. Go back a little further and you can be upset about Vietnam, Korea, Japan, and Germany. Unfortunatly innocent people died in all of those campains. Also politicans tried to benifit from all of those campains. Maybe we should not have fought in any of those fights. We would not want to be a country bulling others around. I will wrap this up by saying people were not outraged at the government because they were to busy being outraged at our enemy. The same ones who still to this day want to kill you and me. Thank you for exercising your rights.

Obviously the person who asks this question has already made up their mind such as it is. However it is OK to let them ask it and then withdraw the question. Listen Mr. Bush hater carefully this time. Bush, Bill Clinton, the United Nations, and every civilized society denounced Saddam as the leading home of terrorism. He was hanging people 72 at a time just for sport. he used poison gas on his own people, and yet you don't get it.
You should wake up every morning and just say I hate Bush and then go back to bed, because you are done thinking

The masses are generally unaware of the facts. The media distorts the facts to sway public opinion. The advertisers pay for the information to be published so that they can profit from selling "defense" technologies to the government when the public demands a war for a reponse to the attack.
It is just gravy for defense contractors. The media just sways the masses into believing false stories.

Iraq was invaded because it was guilty of repeatedly violating the terms of the UN engineered ceasefire after the first Gulf War.
That coupled with Sadaams persistent refusal to produce proof of where he had disposed of the WMD he DID have.(we still don't know where those munitions went.)
After 9/11 Bush gave Hussein a last chance to comply and he resisted (knowing he had France and Russia - among others - in his pocket - re 'Oil for Food' program.
Bush said repeatedly that Iraq had no part in 9/11.
That is a liberal myth.
Bush has plenty to answer for (his handling of Iraq after the military victory, out-of-control border etc), but your premise is simply false.
Iraq was NOT because of 9/11.
There were plenty of reasons for that move - not the least of which was the strategic military advantage a strong foothold in the mid east would give us.
It was poorly handled, but it is simply inaccurate to say the US went to Iraq as retaliation for 9/11.

Spain will soon be under the control of the Muslims. France, the Netherlands will be next. Then Britain, Belgium and on an on. The Germans have the only leader in Europe that sees what is happening. Read America Alone by Heyne. Then you will have your answer

People are stupid. Given the proper motivation they will believe any lie, even when the truth smacks them in the head. They will believe the lie either because they fear it is true or they hope it is true. Give people a sense of purpose (IE: An Enemy, Proper Motivation, A Purpose) and they will believe any lie. The reasoning will be that all of these other people cannot be wrong. People believe that they can easily tell the difference between lies and truth. Most cannot. This makes people very easy to fool, especially when you give them a purpose.

911 was the first time in almost 200 years that the Continental USA was effectively attacked by a foreign entity. The fact is, we have turned into a nation of cowards, and politicians naturally prey on our fears and beliefs and tell us what we want to hear. That is what they do.
The terrorists have won. We fly in fear, we travel in fear, we live in fear.
Our "War on Terror" has claimed less than 3300 lives in about 4 years. Korea claimed over 25,000 in about two years, Vietnam almost 60,000 in about 15 years. Yet we have lost our stomach for it---certainly it has been mismanaged, and certainly our commander-in-chief is spectacularly unqualified for his job. But Bush is not evil, he is not stupid, and he is not uncaring. He is simply incompetent.
And so, unfortunately, are most of We The People.
