I know some of the young people in the college program have enjoyed it. However, all good things have a down side. you will be sharing an apartment with 3 other people (not of your choosing).
Also, they don't pay a whole lot and your rent comes right out of your paycheck. I have know a lot of the college program kids tht have had to scrape for money to make ends meet while they are here. Or, they have had to work a lot of extra shifts. That is another downside. You don't have a choice of what shifts you are going to be scheduled to work. You also don't choose what work you will be doing. For example, you could be in merchandise, working in one of the stores, or a cocktail waitress at one of the nightclubs, or custodial, or a maid at a hotel. . . . . they assign you the job. Don't get me wrong, Disney can be a fun place to work, but you have to remember, that it is a job and not a vacation. Go to the presentation, but be prepared to ask a lot of direct questions. Write them down before you go, so you won't forget what you want to ask.

The website http://www.wdwcollegeprogram.com is the official website and their info is correct. However, if you wish, you can call the school they are expected to present at and check with the career services at that University.
Enjoy the presentation and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

Note: in regard to the note below about the friend being kicked out. He wouldn't have been kicked out for a single offense. Its a 3 strikes and your out policy. So he must have had 2 other mistakes prior to the 3rd and that is why he was sent home.
I have to strongly disagree with this guy. Yes, the work is low-level. Disney wants you to learn the business from the ground on up. But having an employer like Disney on your resume puts you leagues above other college grads, no matter what you did on your program! And not all programs let you play at the parks for free, meet amazing people (yes I networked through the classes), and make life-long friends. I'm all for the program!

The college program by Disney is horrible to say the least. You will be working six days a week for less than minimum wage. You will not be working side by side with professionals instead you will be cleaning hotel rooms or working as a fry cook. If you want experience in the hosipitality industry choose anything other than Disney. Orlando employers know you really do not get any professional experience in there program. My friend got kicked out of the program for returning 15 minutes late to the dorm on September 11 his father was in the World Trade Center that morning at work. He left on his day off and spent the day with friends frantically trying to call through to his dad in New York. Disney told him to pack his stuff and go that night. They replied rules are rules. He could not get a flight out of Orlando back to New York for six days. Some of which where spent on my couch. He thanked his friends for our help and said he was lucky he knew people in Orlando from up north or he would have been screwed. Disney will sales pitch you other wise but there program is really designed for them to get free or next to nothing labor.
