what is the planet below and to the left of the moon at present. is it jupiter? 9:00 central standard time if this info is revlent.

That planet is Venus, which is much brighter than Jupiter. In fact, it is the brightest object in the night sky other than the moon.

Yes I do believe you are looking at Venus, I'm not 100 % sure but I think Jupiter is off to the south-east at the moment, and should be visible for most of the night.

Venus.
The Moon will quickly move east over the next few days, but Venus will stay in the west at sunset for the next few months.

its cloudy herem but if not jupiter, maybe venus, you can see it witht he naked eye too. Mars would be red and no way to mistake it
