I am on disability and cannot work, my income is less than 1200.00 a month and I pay all my bills and expenses out of it, can anyone help me. My hot water heater is leaking and this leaves me with no water because I had to shut if off from the outside to stop the leak. I would not ask for help but I am desparate.

In what city do you live? If I'm anywhere near there, my friends and I will come and change it for you.

Call your local Catholic church and ask if they have a Knights of Columbus council. If so, contact them and they will most likely fix you up for nothing. They don't care if you are Catholic or not. If not, call different churches in your area and ask who might be able to help you. One of them probably has a group of people that will help you out.

If the above doesn't work, call your gas or electric utility company (depending on your type of water heater) and they will fix you up for a modest monthly payment on your bill.

Good Luck!

Have you phoned any plumbing outfits and explain your situation to work out some sort of payment arrangement?
