Do you need an internet connection to play Xbox 360 alone with no one else? Basically, do you need an internet connection to play any games on Xbox 360? Can you still play without a connection?

most deffinetly do not 'NEED' a connection, but much more fun with. that would be the dumbest console on earth if it did need one. but yeah man as soon as you plug it in and turn it on it's ready, i think you might have to set date and time and give it a cool name or something like that but yeah slap a game in and get down. you def have to have connection to broadband in order to play on xbox live but if you just want to run through campaign on halo 2 or gears of war by yourself then yeah shoot. good luck

Nope, you can still play 2 player 3 player etc without having an internet connection. However you will need the internet connection to play with other people.

You do not need a connection is you are just going to play single player offline games. You can still play multiplayer splitscreen or what not offline. None of the current generation consoles lock you into having an internet connection. The advantage to having a connection though is online multiplayer(with live gold), game updates, and firmware updates, just to name a few things..

You don't need an internet connection if you play alone. But you will need an internet connection if you plan on playing MMORPG, such as Final Fantasy XI.

Even if you don't have an internet connection, you should consider getting one because you can download extra materials for games, and in some cases, you can only get map expansion by buying it off XBL marketplace.

If you're playing alone, then no you don't need an internet connection, but if you want multiplayer play then you MUST have an internet connection. I hope this helps.
