Price: 249.99

Pro:
1. Innovative controller
2. Great first party game support, such as Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Mario, etc.
3. Cheaper than 360 and PS3
4. Great for people who likes to play with other people
5. Better 3rd party support than the Gamecube
6. 100% Gamecube backward compatible
7. Virtual Console: Access to all NES, SNES, and N64 games (eventually)
8. Good software piracy protection

Cons:
1. Is the Wii-mote a gimmick
2. No next gen graphics
3. VC can get expensive (games are 5 to 10 bucks a piece)
4. No DVD or next gen player (rumor that there might be a DVD add-on, but it's kind of pointless since most people have a DVD player anyway)
5. Probably will not have as much 3rd party support as the PS3

As for as games goes, you can expect a lot of first party games that you see on the GC to appear on the Wii. Most of the Wii games are more fun when you play with other people. This is especially true for Wii sports and Wii play. At this stage, most 3rd party games don't really take advantage of the Wii-mote. They just seem to copy one another.

Some of superdorks cons are wrong

1- The Wiimote is not a gimmick, some cheaply made games use it as a gimmick

2- It does have next gen graphics, just because they aren't as good as the 360 or PS3, doesn't mean they aren't next gen.

3- The PS3 is the one losing exclusives, its the Wii which has more developrs making games for it
