i've done that before...on a little to long, once the nurse at the emergency room told me, that sometimes our hormones change and makes the skin more sensitive,so you got to becareful. If you have vasaline or milk. Nair is overly strong, you can remove horse hair with that.
Milk will help it not to turn brown, witch it may. And vasaline to keep it from drying the skin over. Use an ice cube ,rubbed over the area for a while....It will go away in a few hours.

Your not supposed to use Nair on your face. Your face is too sensitive for that. Its made for your legs, and legs only. You can try and put ice on your upper lip to calm the swelling down and to make it feel better. It may take a while to actually get it to go away though.

I will say that even testing it somewhere else may not prepare you for a sensitive area such as your lip. I react this way on my eyebrows with any type of product, I'm not sure that this is suggested however I use baby oil to soothe, protect and moisturize it seems to help almost instantly. The redness may take a little longer.

Apply cold water compress this should reduce the uncomfortable feeling you are experiencing. Applying anything topical may worsen the condition.

You should have tested it on another piece of skin before, like it says on the box. Umm, it should say what to do on the box.
