I somewhat agree because back in the day music has artistes who can actually play intruments and sing. However todays music is more based on the lyrics then anything else because they sing about everyday problems and younger people feel like they can finally relate to something.

I agree with you completely. Barely anyone seems to know any music that is good. A few days ago I was talking to friend and I tried to talk to her about music and she didn't even know who Bob Dylan or Elvis Costello are. I think they should introduce some kind of good music education classes in school because no one seems to know who anyone thats good is anymore.

i agree wholehearedly most people wouldn't know good music if it came up and kicked em in the *** either you got these idiots soundin alike and runnin around on stage acting like idiots and morons or you got some teenage girl walkin around like she's some bad marilynne monroe like stripper and pullin it off as lousy as anna nicole smith with less braincells and even less talent

i'll cast my vote for a song too and that song is tuesday's gone by skynard as the farewell to good music i doubt we'll ever see it again

to each his era, i feel. as a 52 year old DJ, i've adapted to be accepting of today's music, although some of it (and it can be said of any generation's music) is certainly not enjoyable to ME. do you know that people wanted to pull "wake up little suzie" off the radio because it was too risque? true story!
there are songs i'm currently playing from today's hottest hits that i like very much, and others that i do not like a bit.

All we have now are boy bands and Emo bands and no talent girl singers that shave their heads, or dress like street walkers.
