I want to clear one thing up. I don't hate myself for being gay. I just hate my gay.
If a person hates their addiction to alcohol does it necessarily mean they hate themselves?
I love myself.

We have a fine tradition in our culture of overreaction. Gays have been the victims of a lot of discrimination and stereotypes, and now, the mainstream gay community thinks that it should march throug the street whilst cross-dressing and performing sexual acts to counter all that. You're probably too much for them to understand. I'm a conservative, straight, white male, and my own group expects me to toe the line as well, so I hear you, bro. You should see the spectacle when I try to discuss global warming with them!

Don't worry about what everybody else thinks. You're not hurting anything or anybody, so there's no problem. If you get flack from some jerk...just ignore them. There are all types of gay people...conservative like yourself and more flambouyant types. All individuals are different but some get stuck in stereotypes, unfortunately. I'm tired of being in that "dumb blonde" stereotype. Well, most people don't treat me like that but some do and I have to listen to dumb blonde jokes or get them via e-mail...but they really don't bother me because I know I don't fit into that stereotype. So...you keep that in mind and don't worry about a thing.

Why care what others think? That's a personality flaw. Be mellow... it'll all work out in the end. Don't get so hung up about it. In actuality, the distrust is moving from homosexuality to atheism slowly, but surely. Eventually, atheists will be the big news to be hated at.
Ironically, I'm bisexual and atheist. I'm not complaining. They're just people with opinions - they can't hurt me.

I am not that way, please just accept who you are and move forward. Being gay doesn't mean that you are conservative or not. Homosexuality isn't a political issue. There is no side to it, at least there shouldn't be. Try to just accept yourself and meet other gays who are in the same boat as you. I know there are plenty out there.

Ay mate- I know what you mean. I'm straight, but even if I were gay, I would hate that too. I think what you're referencing is the gay "culture", which is just as stupid as the emo culture, goth culture, religious culture, or any other culture.
Good for showing others that just because a person is gay doesn't mean they're a ninny.
Best of luck.

You may figure out why you hate homosexuality. It is unnatural and there is no moral pleasure in being gay.God is calling you to quit bad habits and follow good habits.Satan is definitely pulling you back.Leave Sodom and Gomorrah and dont look back lest you turn into salt rock like Lot's wife.

Well there's the "down low" and then there's the "down too low."
But seriously, try not to define your worth by someone else's opinion of your natural preferences. Just be sure they ARE your preferences and not some reaction to traumatic events or abuse.
