I tried it and my milk seemed to increase but I was also increasing my water intake which is really important. If you are having serious supply issues your doctor may perscribe motilium which will definitely increase what you produce, but I think this is a last resort (although I have several friends who took it and they didn't have side effects). Motilium can cause stomach irritation.

I agree with the first answer, fenugreek seems to be the most imortant herb. It's the fennel that makes the tea tastes so awful. It does work though. It might also be that if you are drinking 3-5 cups a day you are taking the time to 1) relax, and 2) drink more water 3) take in herbs that do enhance supply. I agree it tastes terrible. My husband kept saying, just add a little sugar. I couldn't imagine how that would taste. You might be able to mix it with decaf tea. I've also heard that tea in general boosts supply. My aunt couldn't stop leaking for months after she stopped breastfeeding. Her doctor told her to stop drinking the tea and that worked. Maybe you could just try fenugreek in decaf tea? Wish I had tried it.

only drinking mother milk tea isn't enough, you should balance it with nutritious food. Have enough liquid; 3 liters a day & have some rest! To me, this tea works best. Besides I ate 5-6 times a day, which consists small meals. That's why I produce a lot of milk.
Following help increase milk production:
- try different breastfeed methods & position correctly
- more often breastfeeding/ on demand, not on schedule
- change side more often, not always on one breast
- you can try another drinks: fennel or linden blossom tea, non-alcohol beer
- other source: nuts, ripe fruits e.g. bananas, pears
- calcium source: milk & milk products, broccoli
enough sleep, relaxe
- after breastfeed, relaxe 15 mins, eat joguhrt
- avoid food & drinks that reduce milk production, such as: acid/ sour food & fruit, drinks with gas & coffeein, peppermint tea, sage tea, parsley
- don't use your bra too tight
- breast massage before breastfeed
Good Luck!

What really worked for me was taking fenugreek, an herb that comes in capsule form that you can get a Whole Foods. It has a pleasant smell, somewhat like maple syrup. I did drink Mother's Milk tea but can't remember if it helped. But fenugreek did.

I know this sound crazy, but I've heard a glass of beer works. I'm a non drinker and my milk came in well, so I never tried it, but I've heard from MANY others that it does. If you're going to do it, have the drink after your last feeding at night.

NO IT DOES NOT!! This is an olld wives' tale... the only thing that will help to produce more milk is your baby's action of suckling. Keep trying, the more your nipples are stimulated, the more milk that will be produced.
