answer the question REALLY LONG! like 2-3 paragraphs!! i really need to noe this.. and it needs to be explained to me WITH ALOT OF WORDS. thanks.

Good leaders, are very simplistic, they don't micro-manage, can lead as well as follow. They do Not make demands on others that they are not willing to do themselves.

Good leaders, make team members want to belong and earn the respect of their peers and those that may work with them. They are dedicated to duty and honor and value other people and their input. Real leaders know how to dissiminate work responsibilities. It is everybody's job, not just one person. Real Leaders find the strengths of each team member to forge a stronger team. They are not fearful of others that may have talents that exceed their own. They are not dogmatic. They move up on their own merits and not walk on their fellow employees.

Empathy for the people you are leading--which means really putting yourself in their shoes, and knowing how they feel. This is the most important quality that a leader can have--without it, one will be a poor leader (and not very well-liked).

Getting input from the people you are leading is really important. Have meetings, and have a suggestion box (for those who want to make anonymous suggestions). Those under you may know better and/or faster ways to get things done--don't underestimate them.

Rewarding people for doing a good job is an excellent means of getting them to do the best job they possibly can. Have contests, give prizes, give praise, have a meal together once a week with the winner. This is good for employee morale, and for the best production possible.

Don't ever bring your problems to work with you--check them at the outside of the door. Do not take out things that are bothering you on your staff. It is up to you to set an upbeat example for those below you.

I must say to be a leader you must do your own homework and stop following others advise. Decide for yourself and discover that you have the ability to be a leader... okay... hey and this is hard for me as I like to explain everything. you have to do this for yourself .

Hey think of how proud you would be. Of yourself to do this and do it well. You can put your mind to it.. Do you want to succede in life?How would you do that? You can't count on other people all the time.Someday their may not be someone to count on.
