I've heard many people say that you MUST be 'saved' in order to go to Heaven.

What about people who have never heard of God or a higher power?

I am spiritual, I read the bible, I believe, I love and respect my creator.. Isn't that enough?

That is a very loaded question, and the answer is different for everyone. Some believe that is the simple act of believing that saves you, while others think god requires us to prove threw some pagan ritual or faith.

It is more safe to say, that no man or religious figure could possibly have the answer. And realize what exactly the bible, and all other religious texts are trying to teach us. BE NICE TO EVERYONE ALL THE TIME!

If you truly believe in god, you would live in a way that proves it, not by professing your love for god, or being baptized every time you find your faith. But by simply being nice.

The judgment of god is not in any ones ability to decide, we must wait for those answers from God...not anyone else.

The term being saved means that you have accepted Christ as your personal savior and accept the fact that He died for you on the cross for all your sins. God gives everyone an opportunity to know about Him. Whether or not they accept him is their choice. Just respecting our creator isn't enough to go to heaven. Satan also respects God but that doesn't mean he can go to heaven. I hope this helps =) also, it is having a relationship with your heavenly father, it isn't a religion. I would also like to point out that some guy said that being saved is also shown by the way you live and i totally agree. I don't agree witht the fact that if you are good, you will go to heaven. The Bible says, " 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Well, if you believe in the Bible, and believe that what God tells you in there is the truth, you need to be baptized and saved. A lot of people ask, "Why?" and then don't do it. I believe that the reason is- because God said so, and we need to trust and obey Him. It's very, very simple. People just make it more complicated than it needs to be.

And the people that have never heard of God.... (1.) That is why Jesus asked us to go and make disciples. (2.) If there is no possible way, then we just need to trust that they wouldn't have gone with Him if they did have the chance.

Well, from what you described, it sounds like you are indeed "saved." But really it depends on why you're asking this. For instance, I found it easy to be kind and giving, but hard to let go of certain "fleshy" desires. I still consider myself a good person, but if I can't be totally in Christ, then maybe I'm not really saved. It's a question of how much faith you have, how many wordly sacrifices you make, and if you feel certain things in this life are worth comprising your fate in the next life.

I haven't been able to totally get in this mindset, so right now, I do not consider myself to be saved or righteous. I am, however, a good person.

A true believer of the Cross is not one who recites passages, he cannot be found in a church nor will you see a cross around his neck.

A true believer of the Cross has not renounced, has not repented, nor has he accepted.

A true believer of the Cross does not worry himself as to Gods existance. He instead will look beyond the words and act on the principles, morals, and lessons, found in the Holy Bible.

A true believer of the Cross will understand the core purpose of the writings, past the dogma, past the God, he will see the true intentions of the Book.

A true believer of the Cross can be found anywhere, he is everyone and on one, his cross is in his heart, his faith is in his actions.

Act on those noble intentions passed on to us by our forefarthers and you need not worry about anything.

Ask yourself this what good is it when
"belive fully in God"
"God tells you in there is the truth, you need to be baptized and saved"
"except the fact the Jesus is the son of God and that he is real"
"just always remeber who created to, read the bible, excepting jesus christ as your savor, and pray everynight, "

Jesus is poiting at the moon, all you are doing is looking at his finger, not at the moon.

Being "saved" is an overused term I think becuase if you don't know what it means it isn't fair.

Being Saved just means that you are in relationship with the Creator. You have accepted Him in your life.

Fortunatly only the Creator is who we are answerable to. Don't let "religion" confuse you. Religion was created by humans

You absolutely don't have to be saved to go to heaven. My religion teaches that those who have never accepted God or had the chance to accept God go to a type of waiting room in heaven. There, they are taught about God and then choose to believe in him or not. If they still don't accept him, then they go to Hell.

As a christian I belive that inorder you have to belive fully in God and what he does for you and that he loves you. you most likely have heard this one before " God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that who ever belives in him will have eternal life" John 3:16 Its so so so simple to go to heaven all you have to is believe in God and try to live a good life. God sees us as perfect people that means he sees even the most hated person on earth as his child. So to answer your question yes it helps put the Holt Spirit in you like planting a little seed. But its not necicary because if you truly believe then your ok. But remember that Baptism is not just some ticket to heaven but God is not works just faith!!!!!!!!!!

You probably don't understand what the the word "saved" means. That means someone who acknowledges Jesus Christ as Savior and God as the Father.

People who have never heard of God get their change to accept or not, their choice.

Jesus said that if you love him, you will obey him and that means taking what He said to heart and doing it. He clearly stated in John, chapter 3 that unless you are born again (saved) you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven. Do you love and respect Jesus enough to obey Him in this? It is between you and Him.
